I have a love affair with antique diamonds. It astounds me how lapidaries were able to cut diamonds without the use of electric lamps and wheels. Antique diamonds sparkles so fiercely in low light but I was able to capture some beautiful flashes of this stone in the sunshine as well. Check my social media pages for the video.
For sale is a 0.50ct antique old mine cut diamond in a vintage hand-forged 14k yellow gold bezel setting. The setting is weighty and durable- it's so comfortable on the hand. The ring comes with an old appraisal that has the appraised value at $2,585. The appraisal grades the diamond as an "oval old mine cut, color M-N, clarity VS2." It is eye clean and the warm color looks great in the warm, buttery yellow gold.
The flat square band is 2.33mm wide and 1.4mm thick. The diamond with the low profile bezel setting included measures 6.25mm long by 5.2mm wide. The ring is currently a size 6.5 and is resizable by us or by your local jeweler for an additional fee. Once resized, however, it is non refundable. Please allow an additional week for resizing.
