Earthy Hand Carved Teal Sapphire Halo Engagement Ring
My signature "Carved Bark Band" takes on an antique halo form in this handmade white gold sapphire and diamond engagement ring, made from recycled gold.
Surrounded by sparkling white conflict-free diamonds is an American-mined sapphire from Montana. It has been lightly heated for color and clarity, a light sky blue-grey in indoor light and a light teal blue green in natural lighting.
This sapphire measures 5.39mm in diameter and is 0.65ct. With the halo setting included, the diameter of the halo is 7.80mm. The stone is ethically sourced, mined in Montana, USA and cut in the USA by an American gem cutter. He cut it in an Old European style, a style of cutting made popular in the 1800's. This sapphire is mostly eye-clean, with some silk "milkiness" seen only at certain angles.
Elevated above the band, the halo is set atop the ring with room underneath to allow for stacking with wedding bands. The band is just a little under 2mm in width and is fully rounded for comfort. You will only find this ring here! It is my signature carved style.
This ring is currently a size 7 and is fully resizable for a small fee. Please note, this item is non-refundable after it has been resized. Please allow one week for resizing.
About Montana Sapphire:
Sapphire is the birthstone for September. It is also a traditional gift for those celebrating 5th or 45th anniversaries. Sapphires are often associated with loyalty and dignity and are a favorite gemstone for royalty.
Most natural sapphires undergo heat treatment to improve their color and clarity. This industry-accepted practice results in a permanent enhancement and helps protect against accidental chipping or breakage.
Montana sapphires are mined in the state of Montana, USA. They were discovered in Montana in the late 1800's by a gold miner working on one of the gravel bars on the Missouri River near Helena. Some would consider these stones a more eco-friendly option because today's popular mining operations make efforts to restore the land after mining, replacing soil and seeding with native grasses.
Montana sapphires are recognized for their extraordinary blue-green tones, often lighter in color. They also may have a silver tint to them which you don't often find. Sizes in over 6mm are also becoming much more difficult to source.
Like all sapphires, Montana Sapphires are very durable and make an excellent choice for a center stone in jewelry.

They breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen. Additionally, they provide habitat for birds and other wildlife and play a vital role in our natural water cycle. Forests help regulate the water in the air through a process called transpiration. They absorb thousands of gallons of water into their roots. Excess water is then released through the leaves back into the air. For every purchase made, I donate one planted tree through Plant-It 2020. Small changes by individuals can make a difference in the fight against climate change. You will be reminded of your efforts each time you look down at your beautiful gold bark band.Shipping:This ring will ship in an Anueva Jewelry reusable gift pouch with a free polishing cloth.
