Antique Inspired Emerald Ring - Alternative Engagement Ring - Petite and Dainty Platinum and Diamond Ring
An ethically sourced neon blue-green Zambian emerald is the highlight of this contemporary East-West oriented halo ring. A halo of sparkling white conflict free diamonds frame the natural 7x5mm emerald stone, providing an additional "bumper" guard of protection. Emeralds are on the softer side of the gemstone hardness scale, and should be worn accordingly. They don't always make the best engagement ring stone for daily wear, but they're great for a statement piece or right hand ring that is part of one's regular jewelry rotation!
The halo is relatively low, but set high enough on the band to allow for stacking with straight or curved bands. The band was hand carved in wax in our signature Evergreen textured style, and cast in 100% recycled 14k yellow gold.

About Natural Zambian Emeralds:
Zambia is fast making a name for itself in regards to the mining of these precious stones. In recent decades, production of the May birthstone in this part of the world has dramatically picked up in pace as jewelers and consumers alike discover the inherent and distinct beauty of this country’s bluish-green emeralds, which are said by many to rival Colombian emeralds’ distinct deep green in eye appeal.
Emerald engagement rings that feature stones from Zambia are distinct in their coloration. These stones are said to carry color throughout whereas those from Colombia tend to have a clear core. In addition, Zambian stones tend to be a little less brittle and porous than emeralds mined in other parts of the world, making them a touch stronger naturally.
The emerald is the sacred stone of the goddess Venus. It was thought to preserve love. The emerald has long been the symbol of hope. It is considered by many to be the stone of prophecy. For some the emerald acts as a tranquilizer for a troubled mind.
Gemstones from Anueva Jewelry are purchased through traceable channels and ethical mining operations that benefit the communities.
Making a Difference:
Help fight climate change with this purchase! Trees are like the lungs of the planet...our "natural air purifiers." They breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen. Additionally, they provide habitat for birds and other wildlife and play a vital role in our natural water cycle. Forests help regulate the water in the air through a process called transpiration. They absorb thousands of gallons of water into their roots. Excess water is then released through the leaves back into the air. For every purchase made, I donate one planted tree through Plant-It 2020. Small changes by individuals can make a difference in the fight against climate change.
