2.12ct Light Teal Emerald Cut Sapphire Bezel Evergreen Setting 14k Yellow Gold Low Profile

$2,800.00

Ethically Sourced ~ Mermaid Sapphire

The most popular color sapphire requested by our customers is blue-green teal. It ranges in saturation from light to dark, and the stone in this ring would be the lighter more saturated teal blue-green. Set in a 100% post-consumer recycled 14k yellow gold low profile bezel  setting is a natural, untreated 2.12ct sapphire in a specialty step cut. The setting was custom made for this stone and features contemporary angles on the bezel itself and slight carved "facets" of texture in the band.

Like many sapphires, the color will change a bit depending on the amount of light and the source of light available.

If there's one thing better than a beautiful teal sapphire, it's knowing that it came from a supply chain that cares for the people who bring these stones up to the earth's surface. The Nigerian sapphires I purchase were mined by artisan miners, members of the local community who farm in the growing season and mine sapphires in the off-season. The purchase of these stones benefits the communities, helping people provide for their families and providing more funding for education and healthcare.

The band on this solitaire is carved and textured by hand in wax. The band is fully rounded, about 2mm wide. The setting is low profile, with the bezel sitting directly on the hand so it is not able to stack flush with straight bands. A custom wedding band would need to be made to stack flush.

The ring is currently a size 6.5 and is resizable for a small fee. Once resized, however, it is non refundable. Please allow an additional 1-2 weeks for resizing.

Making a Difference:

Help fight climate change with this purchase! Trees are like the lungs of the planet...our "natural air purifiers." They breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen. Additionally, they provide habitat for birds and other wildlife and play a vital role in our natural water cycle. Forests help regulate the water in the air through a process called transpiration. They absorb thousands of gallons of water into their roots. Excess water is then released through the leaves back into the air. For every purchase made, I donate one planted tree through Plant-It 2020. Small changes by individuals can make a difference in the fight against climate change.
