The scenic waterfall at Snoqualmie Falls is iconic in Washington. Located just about 30 miles outside of Seattle, the views are undoubtedly worth the trip. Another great option is to stay the weekend at one of the beautiful resorts near the falls.
4. WASHINGTON PARK ARBORETUM
Rich with 230 acres of botanic gardens, the Washington Park Arboretum is the perfect engagement location for nature lovers. The public park has seven different thematic gardens, hundreds of plant varieties, countless ponds, and several trails. Make sure to check the park hours before you go as it is only open to the public Wednesday-Sunday until 4:00 PM.

As you venture through the forest on your way up, you’ll sneak some beautiful views of the Cedar River, Mount Si, Mount Washington, Rattlesnake Lake, and Chester Morse Lake. If you’re an early riser, getting a head start on this trail may work in your favor. While the hike itself isn’t overly strenuous, catching the morning sunrise on the ridge is such an incredible sight, you’ll want to share it with your soon-to-be bride or groom.
