1.35ct Purple-Pink Spinel in 14k Rose Gold Evergreen Solitaire

$1,500.00

Rose gold compliments so many gemstone colors, but we especially love the romantic combination of rose gold and pink or purple stones.

This oval spinel (though it isn't a long oval, a bit round in shape) is a natural, untreated gemstone that was expertly cut in a modified brilliant design with wider facets. It weighs 1.35ct and measures 7.3x6.6mm. A less expensive alternative to sapphire, we've seen that spinel often have more brilliance and translucence than sapphire as well. In this single gemstone, you'll see flashes of pink, purple and blue.

The stunning spinel is prong set in post-consumer recycled solid 14k rose gold. The band is about 1.8-1.9mm, fully rounded, and was hand carved for an organic, eclectic texture.

The ring is currently a size 6.5 and is resizable for a small fee. Once resized, however, it is non refundable. Please allow an additional 1-2 weeks for resizing.

Please include an address at checkout where someone will be available to sign for the package via FedEx or UPS Express. If being sent to a business location, please provide the business name. International buyers are liable for paying customs/taxes/duties.

About the Stone:

Spinel is a gemstone that at one time was most famous for being mistaken for ruby or sapphire. These days spinel gets the respect it deserves - it is recognized for its excellent hardness , brilliance, and the fact that unlike most ruby and sapphire gemstones, spinel is never heated or treated in any way. It was recently made a new birthstone for August.

Due to its very good dispersion, spinel gemstones can possess vivid fire. The intensity of spinel color is in part due to the fact that spinel is one of the few singly refractive gemstones, the others include garnet and diamond.

Making a Difference:

Help fight climate change with this purchase! Trees are like the lungs of the planet...our "natural air purifiers." They breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen. Additionally, they provide habitat for birds and other wildlife and play a vital role in our natural water cycle. Forests help regulate the water in the air through a process called transpiration. They absorb thousands of gallons of water into their roots. Excess water is then released through the leaves back into the air. For every purchase made, I donate one planted tree through Plant-It 2020. Small changes by individuals can make a difference in the fight against climate change.
